Week 1:What is the title of the book you are reading for book clubs right now? What era in time is it from? What are some clues that let you know it's historical fiction? Make sure you put your name!
Week 2: Who is the main character in your book? What information do you know about them? Would you be friends with them why or why not? Give at least 3 character traits (WITH SUPPORT FROM YOUR STORY).
Week 3: What is the major conflict in your story? What problems are your character(s) facing? Do they have a plan for how to solve them, if so, what is it? If not, how do you think they are going to resolve their conflict?
Week 4: Describe a part of your story that surprised you. What happened? Who was involved? Why was it surprising? Make sure you are clear in your writing for those who have not read the book.
Week 5: Find a link online that supports the history of your book and post the link here. Briefly explain the history of your book AND make sure the link is school appropriate.
Week 6: Take the time this week to look through other people's links. When you reply back, talk about how it relates to your book, or characters in your book. Make sure that you are making 5th grade comments, NOT "that was a good link". Use correct capitalization and punctuation! :)
